Brian : I am indebted to you for producing this very comprehensive record of one of Warrenpoint's churches. The memorial plaque to those who served during the 2nd World War was of particular interest to me. I remember as a small boy when my father announced that the plate was being installed and we were all to view it for the first time. There was H. ( Harry ) my father, G. ( Graham ) who went to South Africa and R. ( Bobby ) who went to England. Now with the medium of the digital camera and ease of distribution by computer, our generation has a better than ever opportunity, to record these facts for future generations. Keep up the good work.

Brian - nice photos of inside the Church.
I like to read who the plaques are in
memory of.
The stained glass windows are beautiful.

Brian: Allow me also to add my thanks to you for these photos of Warrenpoint Presbyterian Church. As with those of the Methodist Church previously posted, I was moved by the beauty of this church that has served Warrenpoint for so many years.
Well done, Brian, and thanks again.

Brian the double doors in photographs 5 and 6 were where my cousin [and my best man] Bob Tate was working on when he died. I think they had had a new carpet laid and the doors would not open properly and Bob was taking a little off the bottom of them. Probably not many would have been aware but prior to going to work in the Box Factory all those years ago he was a fully qualified carpenter. I think it was the Rev Curry who found him.
