I thought it might be an idea to grab a couple of photos of Bennett's before the bulldozers move in. I'm not commenting on that part everyone has their own views.

Sadly missed. We were (often) regulars and can't seem to find anything to replace it. And we're not thinly ones around town saying that! We have graduated to Rostrevor instead. Warrenpoint's loss is Rostrevor's gain, unfortunately.

Thanks, Brian.

It will be strange not seeing that Facade,
after all the years it has been there.

It's a big site for the proposed use, I assume
some form of income generation will be
factored in.

Thanks to Joe (dude) for pointing me to the website - not the easiest thing to find I must say but to save anyone else the bother you can find the new public planning portal here:

Certainly not in-keeping with all the other beautiful architectural buildings in the street.

Whatever happened to the Planner's Mantra......replacement
buildings should be sympathetic to the existing architecture.!

Looks more like a Holiday Let in Portrush. ~x(

Was it a guest house as well.
Lots of windows at the front
of the building.

It was actually 2 buildings (21 and 23) - I can't remember the names of the little shops that where there but one was used as a store by Dunnes when they were open.
