What exactly are they doing? Besides creating a messy traffic situation.

More or less covers it. Except they did ask all the contractors had they any work to do before the scheme started and they all said no. Then along came the sewer people and they said well actually...... hence the big JCB's and Lorry's ~x( Also I spoke to a number of traders who said the disruption was unreal and a few of them actually had to close for a day or so. They would not comment further (and anyway I would not be able to repeat what they said here) ^-)

The biggest issue is (as usual) the amount of inconsiderate drivers some of whom are a danger to themselves (let alone the rest of us) who continue to park where they want with scant regard to pedestrian or anybody else's safety.

Another issue is of course the amusements being shifted around to the front, I have to stay neutral on that as admin of the site but my views are well known outside of the forum. As yet I am unaware of the outcome of any meetings with the council re the festivals that use the square, indeed I am not eve sure if any meetings have even taken place but I have been told of plans to put the stage in the same car park as the amusements - if so, somebody needs to get a tape measure and go back down there and rethink that one!

Can not wait to see the delivery trucks testing the footpaths. How long will it be until the first slab is broken? Having these vehicles do their business before 8 a m would solve many of the Traffic management in the town & protect our footpath & make it safer for our pedestrians. No need to spend another fortune on traffic management & repairs.

Yes, LED ones, quite nice and can be left there the idea being they could have been used during festivals but somewhere along the lines they are forgotten about and are due to be replaced this year anyway ~x(

9 months later and the end is in sight.!

Is that an entrance to the car park, or an
exit, across from the Genoa.?

Please don't say it's both.!!

Both - nothing has changed layout wise - although the people who double/triple park are in for a bit of a wake up call when the pedestrian crossing goes in on that road - zig zags and markings (that they already ignore) will be enforced once the crossing is active

Nearly there - although I am not quite so sure what this is all about and there is an even bigger one in the square (photo later when I remember to take it!)
