The Maiden of the Mournes Festival held its AGM at the Whistledown Hotel Warrenpoint last Wednesday night. There was an enthusiastic response to the AGM which seen the re-election of all office bearers with Mr Joe Kelly Chairman, Mr Elmer Bell Vice Chair, Mr Simon Grant Treasurer and Mr Daniel Mc Manus Secretary and PRO all keeping their posts.
Mr Joe Kelly Chairman addressed the crowd and spoke of his great delight of the great success of the 2011 Festival and thanked Festival Sponsors, Newry and Mourne District Council, civic amenities and the local community for their continued support of the Festival
He continued “I am delighted to have been re-elected and I look forward to bringing an even bigger and better Festival to the people of Newry and Mourne next August”.
