Ok Ok Gap, it`s Christmas. Stick to that excuse if I were you :)) and a happy Christmas to all in Germany :xmassanta:
The second meter was/is probably for storage heaters which were metered on a cheaper rate , now I`m going back to my Chianti  ...........................................

Hi
We had a similar problem when we moved into our house.
I thought one was for economy 7 (or whatever) and the other was for normal usage.
It turned out that our meter hade been changed some years ago, and the installer logged the new meter as being in our address under a house name, and the original meter had being billed under a house number.
We explained this to the electricity company and they eventually sorted it out, BUT when we got new neighbours, they were billed for the original meter that had been replaced in our house!.
After we explained this to them, they got it sorted out for their house, so all is well now, BUT whoever moves in here after us, will have to go through all this again - the problem doesn't want to go away.
Good luck
