Correct and right Yellow Hammer!!.............it's a painting of Sligo's favourite son............and yes, painted by Nicholas Purdy from Warrenpoint.......isn't it amazing? It's on the gable end of a building in Lord Edward Street in Sligo town and proving very popular with locals and tourists alike according to my friends in the west. Such a talented guy...........well, two talented guys really........both W.B. and young Nik! :clapping: :clapping:

Yeats was born in Dublin.!

Very true dabarry.......but always preferred to be known as a son of Sligo rather than a son of Sandymount! :|
