Chips

#1 Post by greengreengrass » Fri Sep 26, 2008 1:51 pm

Image
This was taken in the sitting room of our house in Gt. George's St. around Christmas 1988, a bit unseasonal I know but I'll probably not be able to find it when Christmas comes. Chips was a much-loved 'pure bred mongrel' who had an incredibly low I Q and a bad heart! We had a goldfish too at the time so no prizes for guessing what he (maybe she?) was called.
Yes...................... FISH!!!

(Note to northbrook, whitestar etc. etc., NO smart remarks please!) :nonono: :nonono:

Of course you realise that`s inviting a smart remark, I`ll say nothing apart from the fact that your chip is about to turn into a crisp........................................................

Yes I suppose it would have been more expedient of me to say nothing, but just thought I'd try to stay ahead of the posse! Thankfully Chips didn't suffer the unpleasant end you suggested!

ggg - what a lovely photo. Chips was a beautiful dog.

your family.

And I should think so gap, you're very cruel! Poor wee Chips, I know he was stupid but he wouldn't have deserved that, even with Fish as his only companion! I can't believe I'm even dignifying your remark with a reply!! :-c :-c

Yes, that's why I was covering my back in the first place, but you're just as bad as he is, or maybe worse!!

Doing what I do occasionally....reading over some old posts and enjoying all the repartee that used to fly back and forth......did Facebook wreck all that I ask myself? I know that wasn't the original plan for the forum, but it was good fun! :getmecoat:

Chips was a lovely dog except for the time I was minding him, he got out and I nearly had a heart attack trying to catch him. I have very warm memories of the lovely food you made on Christmas eve every year

Thanks GGG. I keep an eye on y'all every now and then. Some days there is more life than on others. But, what the heck, why complain.
