The magnificent sum of £1397 was raised for the hospice at the model train station exhibition that took place during the Maidens festival back in August - above is Fiona Stephens (hospice) and model maker Cathal O'Hara

Art,I have brought up a post in Brian's photos of the Maiden of the Mournes festival, which has photos of the replica of the train station.Such attention to detail......it was fantastic.

I was informed that the model was being donated to the Hospice and that they would probably auction it.

It would be great if our local council could purchase this fantastic piece of art and have it on permanent display in the Town Hall.........or maybe the Warrenpoint Historical Society could fund raise in order to secure it with the proceeds going to the Hospice.

According to the Reporter today the model will be displayed again sometime this year and details will be made available :D
