I remember the fountain, but, old as I am,
have no memory of the Bandstand.

Beautiful nostalgic photos. I too seem to remember the fountain in the 40's, although I think the "baluster" top had been removed by that time.

Not sure if i told this before,My brother Brendan told me the fountain was taken to the council yard in Peter St.I have a photo here of my brother Liam (R.I.P) sitting in the fountain early 60s.
