This is another of Larry's little stash of memories. Euston Street, Greenore.

Can I apologise in advance for my lack of knowledge in how to properly post a series of images. This is a wonderful little booklet that Larry had and allowed me to scan it to my computer to share on the forum. If anyone knows how to improve these images, I am open to all suggestions.

Thanks for any help in advance.

G.

Thanks Adie, but it's all down to Larry keeping these bits and pieces for over 50 years.

What make/model of scanner are you using? I can have a look online and see if there is a manual for it. (assuming you no longer have the scanners own one)

Can't even get the pictures to print properly.

Still it does pk!!

There was an 'oul fella' called 'Buffer' McCarthy , who would have been a relative of Mary and Mick , who both had shops in the 'Point, who stood at those railway gates in Omeath and sold little jars of winkles -and he even provided a pin to help you 'winkle' them out.

How many pins did he have? If one I doubt it was sterilised after each use.
I remember eating those little winkles when I was young - the thoughts of it
now would make me sick. :-S

Naw , everyone got their own pin. Mind you, in those days , I would be surprised if they were sterilised. Different times.

Uncle Larry with me looking at these pics and has told me that the little 'Tardises' on the grass are actually revolving sun huts!!

They were positioned so the patrons could rest mid croquet matches.

Now there's an idea for the park here!!

A friend sent me a few more photographs. The first one is a glimpse of what the interior of the hotel looked like.
It must have been a fabulous building.
