Sign of the times I suppose ~x(

Very hard to compete in that game, it was bad enough when I was working down in Sounds and Visions and I suppose that they survived this long can only be applauded, however it also marks the end of an era as there will be no video shops (or games for that matter) in Warrenpoint now.

Streaming and downloading is only suitable for some people and I would imagine there are still plenty of people out there that could (and would want to) use a rental service as they can't afford the cost of high speed internet (that is really needed to use it properly)

But would anyone want to open another shop now with the high rents and rates not to mention the miles of red tape and other issues when employing people? can't see it myself :-(

Brian - sign of the times is right.
Don't like to see anyone lose
their jobs.

Sad to hear of the demise of Xtra-vision.

Did some work for them when they first
came into N.I., some 35 years ago.

The Company was started by a Guy going
around Dublin estates, renting video tapes
from the boot of his car.
