George,

It would have been just to the side of the top of the Bridal Loanan at the time although I think there was a path that went a lot further up than the road. It has now been built way further back than this.

I've (roughly) placed this Google earth satellite view over the top of thr houses, if you scroll back from it you will see just how built up the area is now :shocked:
