...so, does everyone get ready for a picture ( no matter what the occasion is), get all dressed up, lined up, big smile :D and ....hold it, hold it.... "where's christie - we can't have a photo without christie in it " :rotfl:

Just goes to show that your Da was a much loved person in our wee town and very important to the sense of community in Warrenpoint.

Seen a copy of this in Dodds home, near everyone in this photo related, Dinsmores, Heatons , Christy McGuighan, and Dodds. See Mick Morgan on front row, Barney McElroy, Conor Quinn. Hugh Rooney, Brian Mackrell all wonderful snooker players :--)

Well said Whitestar, Christie was a much respected man in our town, and is still sadly missed. I can still picture him arriving on stage during the panto with a different coloured sash over each shoulder and wearing that mischievious grin of his, that always got a laugh. Great memories. :)) :rotfl:

On first glance, I thought he was Tom McGuigan, Christie's uncle. No 15 Mary Street......

Back row; Eddie McAleenan; Jimmy 'Parrott' Dinsmore; Bob 'Dodds' Watters, Conor Quinn, Walter Heaton, Leslie Simpson; Bob 'Scudsy'Heaton.
Front row; Brian 'Snitch' Mackrell; Hugh Rooney; John 'Pudding' Dinsmore; Barney McIlroy;Mickey Dinsmore;Christy McGuigan.

While we have more than a few names for the men in this picture there are a few question marks. I'm not sure if this picture has been on before, if it has please let me know.

It has, in this thread:

http://www.oldwarrenpointforum.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=2275

I'll merge the threads as I don't think we have all the names yet.

Looks like Eddie McAleenan next to Jimmy Dinsmore. Barney Mc Elroy (not McAleenan) Brian Mackrell next to Hugh Rooney.

I would hazard a guess and say this was taken about 1965? Can any one confirm this?
