Richiemac - May have seen this before.
Still a good photo.
I'll name a few.
Front row - Eamon Cole, Sean Burns, Teddy McNeil
Pat McAteer and of course your Uncle Harry as Goalie.

Back row L-r: Mickey Watters (Manager); Gerry Morgan; Raymond Woods; Brian 'Hoagy' Magee; Harry Heatley; Clifford Downey; Jack Kennedy; Billy Brady (Coach).

Front row L-r: Eamon Cole; Johnnie Burns; Teddy McNeil; Pat McAteer; (?).

Great photo Richard, I never saw this one before, just can't put a name to the chap in the back row beside Harry H.
Wee Billy Brady from Newry was an electrician in Reeds, a nice wee man, I do believe Gerard Southwell from Mary Street married his daughter. Bernie Quinn will know.
I never knew that ex-Charlotte Street man Jack Kennedy played any football, another fine character who went to live in Bessbrook.
The chap who I believe to be Clifford Downey, but I could be wrong, also came from Bessbrook, he was a fitter/electrician (?), I never knew him, he left Reeds to join some engineering company in England, I think.
I would say that photo was taken well after 1947, possibly about 1956/57, as the manager of the team, Mickey Watters was involved in a horrific industrial accident some time in the late 1950's. He looks very well in that photo, but the accident took its toll on his health. Raymond Woods started working in Reeds about 1955.

Dukestreet, Trying to read the writing on the back of the photograph I think the man beside Harry is a C Downey and front right is either a C Dowdl or Donald???

Dukestreet - I would agree this
was taken well after 1947, and most
likely in the late 59's.
Didn't know Sean Burns went by
Johnny, only knew him as Sean.

Well either way I didn't know those other two guys, maybe some one will let us know who they are. Raymond Woods, Harry Heatley and Eamon Cole should know, and of course Gerry Morgan.
X-Paddy most people referred to Sean Burns as 'Wee Johnny,' a nice guy who left us too soon. You father always said that the Burns's and the Mackrell's were related.

Dukestreet - I never knew we were related to the
Burns'.
Don't know if Kate would know or not.
Must ask her.

Apologies! Yes indeed, it says May 1957 on the rear of the photo. Sorry 'bout that. :D

You are correct with C Downey beside Harry but front right does seem to say C Donald, but not 100%

I think Raymond Magee should read Brian Óg Magee (hoagy)
