Aidan, your nephew Ciaran looks like his Grandfather in the photo.

I think the year was 1965, and the medal presenting ceremony could have taken place in the Square. The reason Peter Grant was there was because he was a local councillor. Directly behind Peter Grant is a young Jim McMahon (partially hidden), now resident in California, and a regular contributor to the oldwarrenpoint forum.

Good call there Hugh. I would never have spotted that. I don't know the year, circa 1962?
