I see Archie Sheid's old bently parked up to the right,I did caddy for him once,not the most generous of people so it was just the once.

Probably not very long before it xpaddy, if it was the 62/63 handbook, because the fire was in February 1963.....

Rene - wasn't sure of the date
of the Fire.
Remember waking up to my room
being lit up.
Was in Clermont Gds. staying
overnight at the time.

Golf club fire was 24/2/1963 about 2 a.m.

The only thing I can remember about the morning of the fire, was getting up and giving my hot water
bottle to my Mother and going back to bed and sleep. I was told about it when I got up later.

Our house backed onto the Meeting House but, I didn't even hear the Siren go off and couldn't
understand what all the commotion was about!
