We lived in Great Georges Street until 1962 and Mortons was where we bought our sweets. So I would say perhaps around mid 1950s.

Memories, indeed, passed it the other day, and just thought Awwwww, when I saw Mortons..
You may be right Val, I remember going there too for the sweeties in the fifties !!!

i used to go to Morton's in the early eighties with my cousin from Mullingar. It was mostly flying saucers and fizzy cola bottles that we bought and the occasional cinammon lozenge. I also have to apologise for stealing apples out of their back garden.
