a LOT of very familiar faces in this one....

Back Row: ??, Jimmy Murray, Paul(Tuck Shop) Grant, Killian Quinn, Paul Carr, Dodger Sherry, Bashful!, John Murray, Sean Henry   , Pat OHare ;--)

Middle Row: Micky? Delahunt, ?? ( this one os bugging me, maybe a bradley or O'Neil ;--) ), Stevie Mcveigh, Mark Malloy, ?? , Marty Lee, Eugene McNulty

Front row: Maurice Moore, Lee O'Loughlin, Vivy O'Loughlin, Paul(Jack) Grant.

IF that is our Sean ( and I'm actually not sure).... the reason why he would be the only one smiling is becasue the rest of the lads look like they have just had a hard game of football or practice but sean was just warming the bench :rotfl: ( not widely renowned for his prowess on the Gaelic field...liked to dub himself "super-sub" :D )

looks like an under-16 team which would date this to '77 or '78

HCTC...I think Jinxy would have been too young to be on this team ( I know he's the same age as Vivy...year older than me...but he wasn't exactly an All-Star player...sorry Jinx ! ;) )

You're right about Brian Delahunt though.

Not sure it's Jimmy McElroy ;--) He certainly would have been good enough to play along with lads a couple of years older than himself....but there's something about that hairstyle that makes me think it isn't Jimmy ~x(

I don't recall Brian Horridge ever playing Gaelic Gap ;--) good footballer but don't remember him turning out for St.Peters.

This guy's face is very familiar but name just isn't coming to me ~x(

.... and I think the guy between Marty lee and mark malloy may be on of the Mcgarrity's that lived on Prince's Street

Is it Mickey McGarrity? I seem to remember him being around the same age as Eugene McNulty and Ronan McGuigan...we all played rounders in the park at the same time.

Marion -his first name could well have been Mickey and he did hand around with Ronan and Eugene....was it him or one of his brothers had the nickname "Mutley" ?

Iam sure Dodger Sherry was in the u16 team that won the Casey cup (1972) He also played at senior or reserve level for while, a top class player.
