Thank you so much for sharing these lovely photos, so different from our harvest which had a lot of tins from the young people. I loved the traditional harvest back home and the harvest loaf with the little mouse on it.

We were just talking about the harvest loaf in the shape of a sheaf of wheat and the wee mouse last week Linda......I think John Begg used to bake it for us...it always fascinated me....such craftsmanship and detail! Sadly those days are gone and we just had some ordinary bread and a little decorative sheaf which The Corn Dolly bakery in Church St. kindly loaned us......but yes, the church did look very nice and the traditional harvest service is lovely.
