Found this in my attic while having a sort out! Not sure of how I even aquired it! ~x( Dont know the date of publication either. ~x( Im sure someone can enlighten me - or make an educated guess. There are a few more pages I will scan in if anyones interested but for now thought these would give a good idea of the content. ;--)

That brings back fond memories of the point as I knew it Velma. All of the hotels and guest houses where we supplied vegetables are there. Ads for uncle Billy's taxis which I drove during student holidays - thanks for posting that.

Much the same Brian you are right.

My Mum and Dad used to work in the Crown Hotel, they were looking at the price list and noticed a 10% service charge included- they said the staff never saw any of it as far as they can remember!

@ Victor I remember McCabes Taxis as i spent alot of my youth staring out the window of the Central Cafe!!

Love the photo of the playground.
Remember when it opened, we were
lined up for ages to get a ride on anything.

I was there too! I also remember the swings being 'tied up' on Sundays and the gates locked. We soon found/made a hole under the fence and it was so much more daring to be there when we wern't supposed to be!
