Meeting attendance letter 1962 (housing and finance)

#1 Post by Brian » Wed Dec 02, 2009 8:36 pm

From Billy McKinley

This is a letter sent to councilors to ask them to attend a meeting. Part of the normal day to day running of things and its good to have items like this to look back on.

This part was added onto the front of the above letter.

This was enclosed with the letter.

Very interesting piece of historical info there Brian... it's fascinating to see the inner workings of all these committees etc...

- don't think there would be too much getting past the members of the Film Censorship committee :-O

I notice both Bronagh McGuigan(McVeigh) and Robert McCoy were on the housing application list, and know that both were housed in Lower Dromore Rd...........the newer houses close to the golf club.I wonder what year these houses became available?

Interesting documents. Obviously no '100 year rule' regarding the release of public documents on here ! :rotfl:

The 30 year rule is the only one that could apply to this document, and even though I would love to be able to say its only 30 years since it was printed, I can't :D

Bit like myself Brian as we both hit 30 years, 'brave and hard' some time ago....won't be too long before my birth cert. could be covered by a 50 year rule ! :rotfl:

Not sure if any rules apply to these things Brian.

After asking my father about it when I gave you that book he said once he got clearance from the PRONI for him to view the council minutes it became open to all.

Although this document might be different ;--)
