Would anyone have any photos of either Moygannon House (Cottage) or Clooneavin – both are beside each other on the rostrevor road to warrenpoint – they are the two big houses you can’t see from the road – nrs 62 & 54 Rostrevor Road – they are both from the same architect and are both hipped roof bungalows with 2 circular bay windows to the front.

I was a frequent visitor to Clooneavin
way back in the late 1950's.

Know the house and grounds very well,
but unfortunately don't have photos.

I seem to remember photos of the house
appearing at the time Garlands left, when
the house was for sale.

It may be worth trying local Estate Agents. ~x(

I believe there were four of these near-identical houses built. The third one can now be seen on the Kilbroney Rd opposite the Newtown Road Rostrevor. All the trees were removed around it. Not sure where the fourth one is.

I always thought Dana, Garlands and Mc Shanes house were near identical.

According to one of the present day owners these houses were built for members of the Hall family of Narrow Water.

The late Tom Moore lived in Cloneavon, if you contact a member of his family they might have some photographs, best of luck.
