Allied Soldiers in the 'Point 1939-45

Does anybody know anything about a canteen run by Miss Ferris and Warrenpoint Girl Guides, for British soldiers? Apparently closed down when the Yanks arrived since they brought their own food?

Or Belgian soldiers who were prone to taking the occasional slash in shop doorways? After closing of course.
