End of the Bridge?

I suppose with Brexit, the bridge is now officially dead?

Not yet. It will not help things that's for sure but Ireland is still in the EU ;) we will report back on how we are moving forward after a couple of meetings early next week

The bridge is insignificant at the moment. Think of ways to prevent another Border Crossing.

What with that extra 250 million promised in the Autumn Statement to go towards infrastructure I expect the Narrow Water Bridge will be starting next week, or should we start taking bets on what the next excuse will be?!!

I'd be cautiously optimistic - however we will just have to wait and see ~x(

Can't see it. The A5 road will swallow up most of that funding. The benefit of the original bridge funding was that the bulk of it came from the EU and was basically 'free' money. The NI executive have little or no interest in South Down.

Carlingford Lough is not even on the radar of the County Antrim Tourist Board - whoops, the Northern Ireland Tourist Board.
