Jim says he is delighted with the news that the finance minister Sammy Wilson has approved the small amount of money for the Narrowwater bridge project. Jim was in his shop at the time and was congratulated by locals on hearing the news, while the phones started ringing local man John Grant said "congratulations to Jim Boylan, the Narrowwater bridge action group, the local chambers and everyone involved in the long fought campaign. This is great news for the local area"

Brilliant news ..I was driving down the road from Newry and noticed the BBC Newsline satellite truck parked up at Narrow Water when I heard the news on the radio just after 5.00pm.....I'm absolutely delighted. Well done to all those who have fought long and hard for the bridge....those who started the campaign 30+ years ago and those who have given up so much of their time and energy in recent years to ensure the message was heard that the people want and deserve this. Well done Jim and the rest of the committee and all those in politics, in various professions and those individuals who worked quietly behind the scenes to move this project along.

Absolutely brilliant work....what a result !!! :-):-) :-):-) :-):-) :-):-) :-):-) :-):-)
