This is a list I was sent in word format of graves in Clonallon graveyard compiled by Dr FC Crossle in 1901. I had this sent to me quite some time back and by pure coincidence found it today. I'm re-posting it here directly in text form as it may be of some use to some. to speed up searching either put the name you are interested into the search box above or use the keyboard shortcuts that work on your computer.



ANDERSON ( Flat slate slab in granite coped enclosure )
In memory of Rebecca daughter of the late Robert Anderson Esq. of Drumkeen Co Fermanagh. She departed this life the 6th May 1847 aged 24 years. Also Jane Anderson second daughter of the above who died 26th June 1849 aged 33 years. Also Margaret third daughter who died the 8th of June 1851 aged 33 years.
“They sleep in Jesus”, with these rest the remains of their beloved mother Rebecca, widow of the above Robert Anderson who in sure and certain hope died Jan 9th 1880 in the 96th year of her age. Also Sophia Anderson died July 17th 1889 aged 70. Also Mary Anderson died February 24th 1892 aged 7.

ARMSTRONG ( Upright slate )
Erected to the memory of William H Armstrong late of Dublin who died at Narrow Water 3rd June 1848 aged 10 years. Also his beloved brother Robert who departed this life 14th June 1849 aged 20 years.

ARMSTRONG ( Upright slate on granite base )
Sacred to the memory of James Armstrong late of Cavan who died at Warrenpoint on 23rd July 1873 aged 75 years. This tribute of affection is erected by his daughters.

The Will of James Armstrong formerly of Cavan Co.Cavan Solicitor and late of Warrenpoint Co.Down Esquire deceased who died 23 July 1873 at Warrenpoint aforesaid was proved at the Principal Registry by the oaths of Anne Armstrong and Hanna Maria Armstrong both of Cavan aforesaid Spinster (the daughters) two of the Executors. 1873 21st Aug Effects under £6000.

1. Sacred to the memory of Patience Baker relict of William Dillon Baker Esq. of Ballydavid Co Tipperary who died at Rostrevor January 25th 1854 in the eighty six year of her age. Also her daughter Patience Baker who died August 22nd 1831 and Elinor Cole Baker who died September 22nd 1848.
2. Erected to the memory of a beloved parent by the children of Constantia relict of Wm. Blacker BENNETT Esq. of Castle Crea Co. Limerick who died at Rostrevor Sept 16th 1845 aged 74.

In affectionate remembrance of Ada Louisa Beggs who died at Rostrevor 29th April 1873 aged 5 years. Also Anne mother of above who died 27th September 1873 aged 36 years.

In memory of William Bell of Warrenpoint who departed this life on 22nd of May 1875 aged 54 years.

In memory of Thomas Black who died 15th July 1869 aged 86 years and of his beloved wife Alice who died 27th April 1847 aged 67 years. Also their daughter Anna McFARLANE who died 22nd June 1848 aged 27 years. Also their granddaughter Mary Ann BOWIE died 15th August 1865 aged 21 years. Mary Jane the beloved wife of George W. FRANCIS died 24th September 1874 aged 22 years.

In memory of Anne wife of David Blair Tide Surveyor of H.M.Customs Warrenpoint who departed this life March 21st 1849. Also Martha Jane Blair infant daughter of the above who died at Poole Dorsetshire Nov. 28th 1824.

Here lieth the remains of Janet Moore Blizard who died 18th of June 1871 daughter of David Blizard late of Larkfield Co.Antrim aged 9 years.

In memory of Ann daughter of Jas. STANNUS Esq. of Larne Co.Antrim wife of Lieut. Jas BOYD of the Royal Navy who died the 10th day of August 1785 aged 50 years.

BYRNE ( Flat slate slab )
Underneath lie the remains of Elizabeth Byrne. Her piety was genuine evangelic and deep she enjoyed for many years the knowledge of salvation by the remission of sins obtained by an evangelical reliance upon the attonement of Jesus Christ, and died in the full triumph of faith March the 4th 1837 aged 68 years.
She lived beloved and esteemed
And died beloved and regretted.
Also the remains of her niece Mary STEPHENS who departed this life April 6th 1836 aged 10 years. Also her sister Margaret KELLY who died at Portadown on 2nd April 1859 aged 80 years.

In loving remembrance of Martha beloved wife of Isaac Corkey of Donachaguy died 3 April 1870 aged 59 years. Also the above named Isaac Corkey died 26 July 1884 aged 86 years.

The Will of Isaac Corkey late of Donaghaguy Co.Down Farmer who died 26th July 1884 at same place was proved at Belfast by John Corkey of Donaghaguy farmer and Isaac Corkey of Warrenpoint Accountant both in said County the Executors. 1884 17th Sept Effects £378.

Here lie the remains of Christopher Eakin late of this parish Clonallon near Warrenpoint who died on the 12th of July 1816 aged 73 years. This stone has been placed here by his grandson C.E. MARSHALL.

Also Margaret Louisa Eakin youngest daughter of the above who died at Middlebrough 30th August 1899 aged 22 years and is interred in Middlebrough new cemetery, grave A11, 174.

This tablet has been erected by the children of James Edmund died 1890 and Helen Cuppaidge died 1891 in loving memory of their parents. Also their sister Helen Elizabeth Cuppaidge died 1872 and of their grandparents John GODWIN C.E.D. 1869 and Helen GODWIN died 1895 all of Tamnagharrie in this parish.

Here lyeth the body of Mrs Arabella Ekenhead who departed this life the 11th April 1778 aged 42 years. Here also lyeth the body of Mrs Thomas Ekenhead who departed this life the 8th Sept. 1784 aged 48 years. Also the remains of Charlotte daughter of the above Thomas and Arabella and wife of Wm. SMITH HOLT in Norfolk who died on the 25th day of October 1804 aged 31 years.

Also to the memory of Frances CAMPBELL alias Turner who died 19th of April 1806 aged 48 years. Likewise Robert Turner her husband who died 6th Nov 1815 aged 56 years, and five of their children. Jane who died April 1790 aged 3 years, William died 1797 an infant. George 13 July 1813 aged 17 years and James their eldest son who died in Lisbon 29th July 1814 age 25 years. Also Robert who died on the 14th of August 1820 aged 28 years. Also his youngest son John Turner who died on the 17th of July 1848.
