WarrenPoint Station Master

#1 Post by macusheen » Sat Jan 09, 2016 12:09 am

Hi there, my grand-uncle, Jeremiah Bridges, I believe was the Station Master at the Warren Point Train Station in the early twentieth century. He may have gone by the nickname of 'Eric'. If anyone remembers this man or his family I would like to hear about it. Thanks.

My father said he lived at 35 Summerhill, with three daughters probably in the thirties. One was called Isabelle.
He was chief clerk and then station master.

35 Summer Hill while now derelict was/is quite a substantial building, although it seems odd he lived there as there was a station masters house down at the station? Unless as you say he lived there while he was the clerk. Anyway this Google map link will show you a recent view of what it looks like today, and I have also uploaded his photo taken from the one in the link above (dated we think the late 30's)
